The Winter School is between the 1st and the 2nd semesters, hosted by KHAS each year with the attendance of guest lecturers, representatives of associated partners, faculty of both SRH and UKIM, and industry experts. The programme allows students to present their projects and get 2-3 days of tutoring on a newly developed technology and/or research breakthrough in cybersecurity. The Joint Winter School is an in-residence activity where all students are physically present in Istanbul for one week to develop their multicultural skills and competencies related to the most recent and up-to-date topics in the cybersecurity field. Along with the Summer School and International Conferences, the Winter School also serves as a networking and feedback event for all students. While both Summer and Winter Schools are crucial elements of jointness and integration of the programme, they also help create a common identity from the beginning and inspire fruitful and enriching exchanges amongst students and lecturers from all participating universities about expectations and experiences made so far in the programme.
