NTNU Graduate Students Visit Kadir Has University for Knowledge Exchange on Energy Sustainability and Cybersecurity

On April 10, 2025, Kadir Has University (KHAS) hosted 135 master’s students from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), specializing in Industrial Economics and Technology Management. The visit, organized by KHAS CESD (Center for Energy and Sustainable Development), provided an engaging platform for academic exchange on energy sustainability, industrial engineering, and EU-funded educational programs.
The event began with opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Volkan Ediger, who introduced CESD’s research initiatives. This was followed by an overview of the Industrial Engineering Department by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yücekaya. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökhan Kırkıl then presented ongoing Horizon 2020 energy projects, highlighting KHAS’s role in sustainable energies.
A key highlight was the session on Erasmus+ Erasmus Mundus programs, where Ebru Dilan, CyberMACS Project Manager, discussed the opportunities offered by Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degrees. She introduced the CyberMACS programme, emphasizing its focus on applied cybersecurity and the unique international learning experience, research, and professional growth opportunities it offers across Europe.
After a Q&A session, the guests enjoyed a networking coffee break and a campus tour. The visit strengthened academic ties between NTNU and KHAS, fostering potential future collaborations in research and education.
