CyberMACS Synergy Workshop with Other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs): Academic Insights Shared on Innovation and Excellence in Cybersecurity Education
The CyberMACS Consortium (Erasmus+ Mundus Joint Master’s Degree Programme in Applied Cybersecurity) successfully hosted the Online Synergy Workshop with other HEIs on Innovation and Excellence in Cybersecurity Education. The event brought together educators and experts from Higher Education Institutions across Europe to exchange knowledge, experiences, and best practices in cybersecurity education.
Distinguished guest speakers were invited to contribute short, focused discussions addressing key challenges and opportunities in the field, including:
- Identifying the main gaps in higher education in cybersecurity
- Showcasing successful models of university–industry partnerships
- Balancing theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on skills in course design
Each speaker provided an intervention per topic, offering diverse perspectives and real-world insights that enriched the dialogue and provided valuable takeaways for all participants.
The interactive online format allowed for dynamic exchange and cross-institutional learning, reinforcing the CyberMACS mission to foster excellence, innovation, and collaboration in applied cybersecurity education.
